Orosi, at a cat's pace.
The cat is our attitude: curious about what lies past the next bend, sure-footed on the trail and always part of the group. Guides, farms, lunches and transport come from the community. This strengthens the local economy.
Gatos On Tour was born in 2019 from a passion for walking, exploring and discovering the Orosi Valley.
Before starting, we trained as tour guides at Costa Rica's National Training Institute (INA) and then earned our certification from the Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT).
Over the years we walked, discovered and learned from this land alongside people who showed us its landscapes, communities and natural riches. That is how the wish to share it with visitors was born: this small piece of farmland called Costa Rica.
Today we are a 100% local project focused on hiking, nature, health and wellbeing, creating opportunities for local guides and small businesses through responsible tourism.
